Signs by Sam is an industry leader in signage with over 30 years of experience serving the Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio markets.  Signs by Sam has grown from a single-man operation fabricating signs out of a single-car garage in Ellwood City to a multi-facet signage outfitter with a team of expert craftsmen and creative designers – who are all professionals in their field.  Signs by Sam has worked with hundreds of clients, both local to regional, in a wide range of industries ranging from small local business to large industrial and commercial corporations.

Signs by Sam offers a design and production facility with over 7,200 sq ft of space accommodating sign manufacturing as well as open floor space to accommodate commercial and industrial vehicles for vinyl decaling and lettering.  The facility allows for professional finishing in a controlled, tempered, and protected environment ensuring professionally sign and vehicle finishing.

Ellwood City seems to have an endless list of talented, respected, and driven entrepreneurs spanning across all sorts of different industries. As most of you know, Signs by Sam was founded by local firefighter/entrepreneur, Sam Farrante, now owned and operated by another Ellwood entrepreneur, Eric Venezie; Needless to say, working one on one with countless business owners, Signs by Sam has a deep appreciation for entrepreneurs like Amber from Forever Amber Photography. This business truly captures (pun intended) the spirit of our town by preserving moments in time for individuals and families. Specializing in newborn, children, and family portraits, this local business owner is truly living out her passion one picture at a time.

Almost every successful entrepreneur starts out small just as Amber D’Addio had. Forever Amber Photography opened for business in 2009 and certainly had humble beginnings. With her studio space located inside her home, alongside the unwavering support of family and friends, Amber has been able to establish a creative, thoughtful, and respected brand for clients not only of Ellwood City, but throughout the entire Pittsburgh area. Fast forward eight years, and she now has a new studio space to call home – right in the heart of Lawrence Avenue; this Spring will be its one year anniversary downtown! There seems to be a special quality about downtown that entrepreneurs can not get enough of – whether it is the revitalization movement or the friendly neighbors. Regardless of the reason, we are ecstatic to have another genuine and spirited entrepreneur call Lawrence Avenue home.

If you want to be successful, you have to fumble in order to find your footing. When other careers in art just didn’t fit, Amber decided to try pointing her artistic eye toward the world of photography, and everything just seemed right. The idea to open her business came with ease once she found her passion in art was best represented through a camera lens. Through dedication, passion for her field, and compassion with her clients, Forever Amber Photography is the very definition of hard work and living out your dreams. This field has exposed D’Addio to families experiencing many kinds of moments and many kinds of situations; what is even more impressive is that Forever Amber Photography knows it is not all about the photographs. It’s as simple as lending an ear and extending a helping hand.

 

Forever Amber Photography has been named one of the Top 20 Newborn Photographers in Pittsburgh.

“I hope to not only be the go-to newborn family photographer in the area, but to also be a resource to women. There are women hoping for a family. There are women dealing with loss or Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome from birth, or women with Postpartum Depression. Even bringing home a new baby is an exciting time for families, but overwhelming too. I’d like to have information and resources that can help them during that time.” – D’Addio

 

When Amber is not in her studio, she is likely to be found with her family, enjoying a walk in the woods (sometimes on the lookout for her next perfect location), reading books, playing with her kids, and is even a member of the Ellwood City Chamber of Commerce. She also makes a point to give back to others; Forever Amber Photography has entered the March of Dimes walk in Monaca. Click here if you would like to join her and her team on April 14th!

It seems like with every passing year, we feel like time is slipping away faster than the year before. Moments are quickly fleeting, and all we wish we could do is freeze time.
